Villa Lucille Estate

Villa Lucille Estate is situated in the charming, picturesque village of Vorno, near Lucca. Set in the lush Tuscan countryside surrounded by olive groves and with panoramic views of Monte Zano to the south and the towers of Lucca and the Alpe Alpuane to the north.

The estate is made up of three villas sleeping a total of 42. The main villa sleeps 18 (nine bedrooms, including a three-room mastersuite). The other two villas each sleep 12 (6 bedrooms each). All three of these stunning properties have their own luxury kitchens, reception rooms and private terraces.

Note: The villas are not rented separately.

VILLA LUCILLE: 

Villa Lucille has nine bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms and are named after some of Italy's most famous Renaissance artists. The main structure of the villa can be dated back to the year 500, while later additions and the beautiful frescoes reflect the artistic period of the 18th century.

GROUND FLOOR: Frescoed entrance salon with office computer and internet connection. The "Bronzino" and "Raphael" deluxe rooms are very spacious with kingsize beds, antique furniture and all feature intricate, scenic frescoes. There is a beautifully appointed formal dining-room seating 20

FIRST FLOOR: Before reaching the 1st floor beside the stairs there is "Caravaggio", the three-room deluxe premier mastersuite, which has a separate private salon with fireplace and a large bathroom with antique tub, double marble basin and glass shower. On the first floor, there is "Michelangelo", a  very spacious deluxe room with kingsize bed and antique furniture. Main drawing room, a majestic room, complimented with Tuscan silk curtains, marble fireplace, fine antiques and a grand piano.

UPPER FLOOR: From the main drawing room, a staircase leads to the upper floor where there is an extra bedroom suitable for kids. The upper floor houses a state-of-the-art television and cinema room with giant cinema screen and velvet sofas to relax on. "Botticelli",  an airy, three-room premier suite with integral kitchenette and glorious indulgent bathroom. "Giotto" and "Donatello", two delightful, intimate attic rooms.

THE BASEMENT: The basement houses a large, fully-equipped, state-of-the-art kitchen with wine cellar.

GARDENS AND POOL AREA: An extensive walled garden with grapevine pergola, ancient grottos and fountains. Terrace for dining "al fresco". An elegant pool, fully equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas. Poolside dining under a pergola for large groups. Tennis court.

 

VILLA CARMINE:

Villa Carmine is an elegant six-bedroom villa, sleeping 12 people, with graceful tall wood-beamed ceiling. It is located across the south-facing lemon garden from the main villa.It has been sympathetically restored with respect for the existing architecture, creating luxurious, modern accommodation for guests.

GROUND FLOOR: The adjoining "limonaia" has been converted to create a magnificent open-plan demonstration kitchen and dining room, and also houses an ancient wine press and wine-tasting room, the dining room has a seating capacity of 16, drawing room with sofa and fireplace, state-of-the-art fully equipped kitchen.

FIRST FLOOR: The six deluxe bedrooms - Rossini, Puccini, Bellini, Scarlatti, Verdi and Vivaldi all have luxury kingsize beds and ensuite bathrooms with marble basins and marble tiles in the shower
All bedrooms have wood beamed ceilings and are furnished and decorated to a high specification, including antique furniture

COURTYARD AND POOL AREA: The lemon garden provides an ideal setting for dining "al fresco" and a stone-columned pergola situated across from the limonaia creates a haven for relaxing, reading or simply enjoying a glass of wine on the soft banquettes. A plunge pool is located just 30 metres from the villa just beside the main gate entrance of Villa Lucille Estate, guests can use either this plunge pool or the Villa Lucille pool.

 

VILLA JACOPO:

Villa Jacopo is a 400 square metre (4,400 square foot) villa, sleeping 12 people in six lovely bedrooms. It has lovely views,  including the towers of Lucca and charming farmhouses and olive groves on Monte Zano. This classic Italian villa is 300 yards from the main villa. The house has its own entrance and private garden where a swimming pool is located.

GROUND FLOOR: An open plan kitchen/dining room is decorated in traditional Florentine style with glimmering bronze-red silk curtains providing a sophisticated setting for large dinner parties. The adjacent drawing room has deep comfortable sofas and a Tuscan fireplace. To the side of the villa, just in front of the pool there is a large demonstration kitchen and sitting area with beautiful frescos and a separate dining room with fireplace.

FIRST FLOOR: Six spacious bedrooms - 4 deluxe - Monticatini, Chianti, Siena, and Volterra. These all have bathrooms and showers ensuite. Chianti and Siena have luxury kingsized beds, which can separate into twin beds if required. The two superior bedrooms - San Gimignano and Cinque Terre - have ensuite shower rooms and luxury double beds. The bedrooms are furnished to a high specification with antiques and specially selected designer fabrics. All bathrooms have marble basin tops, marble tiles in the shower and traditional Venezian plaster on the walls

GARDEN AND POOL AREA: Private garden with plenty of shady areas, well equipped with garden furniture for "al fresco" dinners under the cherry tree. To the side of the property there is an elegant swimming pool, fully equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas.

The Villa Lucille Estate chef, is a highly trained expert in Tuscan cuisine. The Villa Lucille Estate hostess and head-of-house is at client's disposal. There are housekeeping and table waiting staff plus a gardener and maintenance staff. Villa Lucille Estate staff have one day off per week but there will be someone on duty during the chef's day off for breakfast service and housekeeping.

The Villa Lucille Estate hostess will help you choose and coordinate the huge variety of local excursions and sightseeing - Tuscany is deservedly famous for its culture and centuries of art and history. The wonderful walled city of Lucca lies just six kilometres north of Vorno and houses the incredible Piazza dell'anfiteatro, Piazza Napoleone, Torre Guinigi and great shopping. Florence and Pisa are on your doorstep - Florence with its wealth of art and perhaps the most famous of all statues, Michelangelo's David and Pisa still attracts curious travellers to the Leaning Tower. The fascinating towns of Monticatini, Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra are also all within easy distance.
