Villa San Marco

Villa San Marco is an 18th century villa set on a hillside in the midst of its own olive groves and vineyards, 15 minutes drive from the historic walled city of Lucca, 35 minutes from Pisa and the sea and 1 hour 10 minutes from the centre of Florence.

The villa sleeps 14 and is laid out on 3 floors. The ground floor is made up of a fully equipped Tuscan style kitchen, a dining room, a guest bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a summer sitting room, a pantry, and a laundry room. The kitchen opens out onto a large terrace for eating "al fresco".

The first floor has an entrance hall, a drawing room, a study, a master bedroom (huge double bed) with en-suite bathroom, a chapel bedroom (twin beds) with en-suite. On this level there is also a west-facing terrace. The second floor hosts four bedrooms (twin beds) sharing two bathrooms. In the grounds there are formal and informal garden areas and a pool, set back from the house between the olive groves and woods.

The villa managers live in an apartment in the grounds. They are available to assist clients at the villa. They also take care of the wine, olive oil, vegetables and fruit production on the estate. Additional services, such as concierge, extra housekeeping, chef service, baby sitting or beauty treatments and massage on site, can be arranged on request.

The villa is located in the village of San Macario in Monte. The village has two award-winning butchers, one also doubles up as a delicatessen and small restaurant, a bakery, dry cleaners, general store and a petrol station.
